Working With Children Check

Working With Children Check

People performing child-related work for Western Warriors FC must hold any Working With Children Check (WWCC) required by NSW law and applicable football regulations, including coaches, assistant coaches, team managers where applicable, volunteers performing child-related work, committee members performing child-related work, and contractors or service providers where applicable.

One-on-One Situations

1대1 상황

Whenever reasonably possible, isolated one-on-one situations should be avoided. If an individual conversation is necessary, it should occur in an observable and appropriate environment. This does not prevent reasonable coaching conversations — visibility and transparency are simply the default.

Physical Contact

신체 접촉

Some physical contact may be appropriate in football, such as demonstrating technique, injury assistance, first aid, safety intervention or celebration such as a high five. Contact must always be appropriate, relate to the activity, and consider the child's comfort. Unnecessary or prolonged physical contact should be avoided, and physical punishment is never permitted.

기술 시범, 부상 처치, 응급처치, 안전 개입, 하이파이브와 같은 축하 등 축구에서 일부 신체 접촉은 적절할 수 있습니다. 다만 접촉은 항상 적절해야 하고 활동과 관련이 있어야 하며, 아이의 편안함을 고려해야 합니다. 불필요하거나 지나치게 오래 지속되는 신체 접촉은 피해야 하며, 체벌은 어떤 경우에도 허용되지 않습니다.

If a child appears uncomfortable, contact should stop unless necessary for immediate safety or medical care.

아이가 불편해 보이면, 즉각적인 안전이나 의료 처치를 위해 필요한 경우가 아닌 한 접촉을 멈춰야 합니다.

Communication With Children

아동과의 소통

For junior players, Club-related communication should remain professional. Parents or guardians should generally be included in important communications, and group communication is preferred where practical. Where Club communication systems, team groups or approved messaging platforms exist, they should be used wherever practical.

주니어 선수와의 클럽 관련 소통은 항상 전문적인 수준을 유지해야 합니다. 중요한 소통에는 일반적으로 학부모나 보호자가 포함되어야 하며, 가능하다면 단체 소통 방식을 우선적으로 사용합니다. 클럽의 공식 소통 채널, 팀 단체방 또는 승인된 메시지 플랫폼이 있다면 가능한 한 이를 이용해야 합니다.

Social Media

소셜 미디어

Adults involved with junior players must maintain appropriate boundaries online. Club-related social media must reflect the same child-safe standards as in-person activities.

주니어 선수와 관련된 성인은 온라인상에서도 적절한 경계를 유지해야 합니다. 클럽 관련 소셜 미디어 활동은 오프라인 활동과 동일한 아동 안전 기준을 따라야 합니다.

• Send inappropriate private messages
• Request or share sexualised content
• Make inappropriate comments about children
• Use social media to bully, intimidate or embarrass a child
• Create secret online relationships with junior players
• Share private information without appropriate authority

Photography & Video

Western Warriors FC may take photos or video during training, matches, tournaments, Club events, presentations and promotional activities. The Club should use images responsibly and in accordance with applicable consent and privacy arrangements.

Western Warriors FC는 훈련, 경기, 대회, 클럽 행사, 시상식 및 홍보 활동 중에 사진이나 영상을 촬영할 수 있습니다. 클럽은 관련 동의 및 개인정보 절차에 따라 이미지를 책임감 있게 사용해야 합니다.

Avoid images that may embarrass a child, inappropriate images, publishing unnecessary personal information, identifying sensitive personal details, or using content in a manner inconsistent with its original purpose.

아이를 곤란하게 할 수 있는 이미지, 부적절한 이미지, 불필요한 개인정보 게시, 민감한 개인정보 노출, 원래 목적과 맞지 않는 방식의 콘텐츠 사용은 피해야 합니다.

Change Rooms & Private Spaces

Adults must respect children's privacy. The same principles apply to bathrooms and other private areas.

• Adults should avoid unnecessary presence
• Maintain appropriate supervision where required
• Phones and cameras should not be used inappropriately
• Photography or video in changing areas is prohibited
• Adults should not change clothes together with junior players inappropriately
• Privacy should be respected

Drop-off & Pick-up

Parents and guardians remain responsible for ensuring appropriate drop-off and collection arrangements.

적절한 등하원 및 픽업 절차를 지키는 것은 학부모와 보호자의 책임입니다.

• Children should not be left unnecessarily early without appropriate supervision
• Parents should collect children promptly
• Coaches should not routinely be expected to remain alone with an uncollected child
• If a parent is delayed, reasonable attempts should be made to contact them
• Where practical, two responsible adults should remain until the child is collected

• 적절한 보호 없이 아이를 너무 일찍 두고 가지 않기
• 학부모는 아이를 제때 데리러 오기
• 코치가 데려가지 않은 아이와 상시적으로 단둘이 남지 않도록 하기

Transporting Children

Where transport is required, parent or guardian approval should normally be obtained, appropriate seatbelts and road safety requirements must be followed, and unnecessary one-on-one transport should be avoided where practical. Normal parental car-pooling arrangements may occur independently between families.

이동이 필요한 경우, 일반적으로 학부모나 보호자의 승인을 받아야 하며, 적절한 안전벨트 착용 및 도로 안전 요건을 준수해야 하고, 가능하면 불필요한 1대1 이동은 피해야 합니다. 학부모 간 자율적인 카풀 등의 일반적인 이동 방식은 가정 간에 별도로 이루어질 수 있습니다.

Injuries, First Aid & Emergencies

Where a child is injured, appropriate first aid should be provided, parents or guardians should be informed, and emergency services should be contacted where required. The child's immediate safety comes first, and reasonable physical contact necessary for first aid or emergency assistance is permitted.

아이가 부상을 입은 경우, 적절한 응급처치를 제공하고 학부모나 보호자에게 알려야 하며, 필요한 경우 응급 서비스에 연락해야 합니다. 아이의 즉각적인 안전이 최우선이며, 응급처치나 긴급 지원에 필요한 합리적인 신체 접촉은 허용됩니다.

Grooming & Inappropriate Relationships

Grooming and boundary violations are prohibited at Western Warriors FC. Warning signs may include building an unusually secretive relationship, isolating a child, excessive private communication, giving inappropriate gifts, encouraging secrets, gradually introducing sexualised conversation, or attempting to reduce normal parental or Club oversight.

If a child tells an adult something concerning, adults should listen calmly, take the child seriously, avoid blaming the child, avoid making promises that the information will remain secret, ask only what is necessary to understand immediate safety, record relevant information accurately, and report the concern through the appropriate process. Adults should not conduct their own detailed investigation.

아이가 성인에게 걱정되는 이야기를 했다면, 침착하게 경청하고, 아이의 말을 진지하게 받아들이며, 아이를 탓하지 않고, 비밀을 지켜주겠다는 약속을 하지 않으며, 즉각적인 안전 파악에 필요한 것만 질문하고, 관련 정보를 정확히 기록한 뒤, 적절한 절차를 통해 우려사항을 신고해야 합니다. 성인이 직접 세부적인 조사를 진행해서는 안 됩니다.

Confidentiality

비밀 보장

Child safety information should only be shared with people who reasonably need it. However, confidentiality must not prevent appropriate reporting where a child may be at risk, there is an immediate safety concern, police involvement may be required, or a statutory reporting requirement applies. The safety of the child takes priority.

아동 안전 관련 정보는 합리적으로 필요한 사람에게만 공유되어야 합니다. 다만 아동이 위험에 처할 수 있는 경우, 즉각적인 안전 문제가 있는 경우, 경찰 개입이 필요할 수 있는 경우, 또는 법적 신고 의무가 적용되는 경우에는 비밀 보장이 적절한 신고를 막아서는 안 됩니다. 아동의 안전이 최우선입니다.

Breaches of This Policy

정책 위반

Breaches may result in education or guidance, formal warning, removal from a particular role or activity, temporary suspension, restrictions on contact with junior players, termination of participation or membership, or referral to the relevant football body, police or another external authority.

정책 위반은 교육 또는 안내, 공식 경고, 특정 역할·활동에서의 배제, 일시적 정지, 주니어 선수와의 접촉 제한, 참여·회원 자격 종료, 또는 관련 축구 기구·경찰·그 밖의 외부 기관으로의 회부로 이어질 수 있습니다.

Any action will be consistent with the Club Constitution, Member Protection Policy, Complaints & Grievance Policy, applicable football regulations and applicable NSW law. The full range of possible outcomes is set out in the Complaints & Grievance Policy.
